The drawing of my shoes was done with pencil. My goal in this drawing was to create depth. I tried this by making the farthest shoe back lighter and made it look higher on the picture frame. I also used a variety of shadows to add more of a three dimensional effect to the drawing. I started with the shoe on top so I could do the shoe on the bottom under it and not have to erase anything. When I drew the actual shoes I started with the outline of them, detailed them and then added value. The phone is just there to add composition and fill up the big area of blank space.
